Our beginnings

Founded twenty years ago by a handful of pharmacists with the insight to group together to achieve a more effective business model, Avicenna has grown into a family of more than 1000 members with the collective vision to continue to flourish in a changing marketplace.

Today

We are the UK’s largest independent pharmacy support group. Avicenna continues to remain 100% independent. We are not aligned to any wholesaler ensuring that our vision and all of our advice remain completely impartial. Avicenna is entirely owned by its members, allowing them a voice in the way the company is run and in electing the directors.
